What is Disability Assistance?

The grant is offered to enable a childcare provider to accommodate a child with a disability at no extra cost. The grant could

‘top-up’ standard childcare costs, should a one to one worker be needed to support a child with a disability. Parents/carers will still pay the standard fees.

Up to 12.5 hours childcare per week could be funded and up to £1,000 worth of specialist equipment may be applied for. Funding will be

allocated on a first come, first served basis
